Allgemeine Meldungen

Alle eingereichten Beiträge wurden vom 19. bis 21.11.07 in Rabat einer Jury live vorgestellt, und zwar zunächst mit Background-Chor und dann ohne.  36 dieser Titel erreichten die 2. Runde am 9. Januar in Sliema, in der 17 Beiträge für das Semifinale am 24. Januar 2008 ausgesucht wurden (statt der vorgesehenen 16 Titel, da zwei Titel die gleiche Punktzahl hatten). Hier und im Semifinale fiel die Entscheidung durch ausländische Juroren. Das Finale am 26. Februar 2008 enthielt 8 Titel. Die Entscheidung im Finale fiel dann durch 80% Televoting und 20% Juryvotum. Eindeutige Siegerin wurde die Newcomerin Morena mit dem Titel "Vodka", geschrieben vom bekannten Autorenteam Gerald James Borg und Philip Vella.
